On Line Critique with Doris Charest

Registration Opens: November 10,  2020.  Look for the green registration button on this page.   The critique is limited to 8 participants, please submit early to secure your spot.

Working as an artist in isolation can be a challenge. Having an experienced artist to help provide feedback in a constructive way, can be very beneficial to your art practise.

A critique can assist the artist to learn, develop and move forward. This online critique will provide you with a review of your artwork’s strengths and some areas for improvement. ACFA member, Doris Charest, has years of teaching experience and artistic creative insight to share.  Learn from her extensive experience and find subtle ways to move your artwork forward.

The critique session will be held online in the comfort of your own home.  You will meet with Doris and 7 other artists using Zoom.  Once registered you will need to email Doris two images of your work at least 5 days prior to the session. dorischarest@gmail.com

You will need a good internet connection and are encouraged to test out your internet capability prior to registering. Below are links with information on how to use Zoom / practice prior.

About Doris Charest  - website - https://www.dorischarest.ca

Doris’s love of painting started when a Houston neighbor took her to her first watercolor class and there, she fell in love with painting.   As they say, the rest was history.  Painting became a daily activity and exploring the different mediums became the challenge.  Doris took classes from a variety of artists in the United States and Canada.

Occasionally travel slips in with her artwork.  She was a guest artist in Québec, she has participated in Residencies in Peru and India and she travelled all over Alberta as an ‘Artist in the Community’. When she cannot travel, Doris lets her work travel for her.  She has exhibited in the United States and all across Canada.  Her artwork has been featured on posters, magazine and poetry books. She won the Sylvie Braband award for work in the community.
