Artist Statement
I’m Meredith, an emerging classical realist artist specializing in oil painting and drawing. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Art and Design degree and graduating with distinction from the University of Alberta, I continued my education to focus on traditional classical realism. To further hone my craft, I studied at the Aristides Online Atelier, immersing myself in a rigorous and enriching environment that has profoundly shaped my artistic approach.
In my work, I strive to capture the timeless beauty and intricate details of the world around us. Whether it’s the subtle play of light on a portrait or the delicate texture of a still life, my goal is to convey the essence of my subjects with authenticity and precision.
I am constantly inspired by the diverse interpretations and expressions within the realm of art. For me, classical realism is not just about technique but a space for deep contemplation, expression, and resonance.
